18 Weeks Pregnant

18 Weeks!

Wow.
I'm already 18 weeks pregnant.
I swear time is just flying by!
I have physically felt so good this pregnancy,
it's a miracle :)

So updates from the past couple weeks!

I'm still not sick and I count my many blessings!
I'm starting to get little acid fits and those are NOT fun.
However, I hear they are only going to get worse,
so I'm not complaining
...yet :)

My stomach hadn't really grown a whole lot recently,
and I was wondering when I would start to show.
Then out of the blue,
BAM!!!
I'm showing!!
I swear my stomach has literally popped out within days.
DAYS.
The days of wearing my jeans with the hair tie to hold them up,
GONE.
So I went to Target to buy another pair of yoga pants,
since that's all I can afford right now that fits.
And that, my dear friends, is what I'm now wearing to school.
Everyday.
Yesterday I wore a really comfy 3/4 sleeve shirt
and my yoga pants with shoes.
SO comfortable!
Haha I'm totally wearing pajamas to class pretty much
and I could care less!
I just laugh at myself and wonder if I should care.
Then I think how comfortable I am and how I'm already married,
and having a baby,
so who cares right?? :)

I'm starting to get "the look" in my classes.
It's awkward and I'm not sure how to respond yet!
What I mean by "the look"
is when your classmates stare at you anytime you get up to get something
or go outside to get a drink.
It's the "is she pregnant??" look.
All they do is stare at my stomach.
I'm not quite big enough for people to know for sure,
so I get that curious stare.
And props given to those brave students who outright ask my due date.
I'm tempted to just reply,
"my due date??"
and see the priceless look on their face!
...But I'm not that mean :)

My all-time favorite class that I'm taking this semester,
would have to be my P.E. class.
I had no idea what it required me to do,
I just had to take it for my major!
So I show up the first day of class
and it's an activity class.
We have to run around and play the games
that we would teach elementary children!
This includes tag, soccer, push ups, sit ups, etc.
We do this for 2 hours twice a week for the first block.
My worst nightmare...
And talk about bad timing!
So I told the teacher I was pregnant
and she just told me to listen to my body and do what I can.
So the first couple weeks went great!
I could keep up with the class
and I think they actually liked me!
But the past 2 weeks
I am now unable to do certain things.
I can't get up and down and fast as they can
without rolling onto my side first.
I can't jump rope or do jumping jacks
without peeing my pants!
It's seriously that worst
and most embarrassing thing ever!
So I just have to laugh at myself and make jokes.
3 days ago in class a girl was watching me
standing up and down with the class,
and I guess she thought I couldn't do it
or was having a hard time.
So she came up to me
and offered her hand to help me get up!
Hahaha, it's ridiculous :)
So if any of you would like to get a good laugh for the day,
just come and observe my P.E. class!
Hahaha

I swear as I'm writing this post
I can feel my stomach growing.
It is the most awesome uncomfortable thing.
It's great :)
I haven't felt any kicks yet,
only a little fluttering that feels like bubbles inside.
However,
to make it more real and insane,
we get to find out the gender this upcoming week!!

I'm so excited but nervous out of my mind.
It will all become so much more real once I know the gender,
and especially since we have the names picked out :)
I can also start planning for the babies room
and upcoming showers.

Guys,
I'm pregnant :)
No more being in denial,
or forgetting I'm pregnant!
(honestly, that has happened A LOT)
This is real!

And so is this baby bump picture :)
It's super simple, but still weird for me to take them.
I'll get over it though.
Baby is the size of a green pepper this week.
Pretty crazy to think about!

So there you go :)
I'll be updating this blog hopefully next week
with our big gender reveal!
Exciting!!

  1. So awesome! I love your updates! Those flutters are kicks/movement, so yes! You have felt baby! I remember the first time I felt Heather. I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep, and I felt something like a little butterfly. It was amazing and reassuring that she was there (we didn't know it was a she yet). Can't wait to find out what you're having! xoxo
