15 Weeks Pregnant!
It's crazy enough to think that I'm pregnant,
but to think that I'm already 15 weeks along?!
Pure craziness.
Pure joy.
Since today is the 15th of January and I'm 15 weeks along,
I thought this would be the perfect time for a pregnancy post :)
And the perfect time to start taking baby bump pictures!
So here is my first picture of baby Neubert,
who is quickly growing inside of me.
The thought is truly mind blowing and such a miracle.
It has been such an amazing experience for both Matt and I.
There have been so many things I have been,
and continue to be grateful for this pregnancy!
So I'm going to list the top 15 :)
1.
My husband- He has been by my side and has helped me through
all the hard times and good times in the first trimester!
I honestly don't know what I would do
without him :)
2.
My midwives- Since I work at a birthing center,
I have gotten to know the ins and outs of giving birth.
I am completely sold on the process of giving birth naturally
...with no epidural!
So it's only natural that they would be my midwives
and take care of me during my pregnancy :)
3.
Family- It has been so fun to share the news with our families.
Everyone is so excited and supportive,
I couldn't ask for anyone better!
4.
My health- Unlike most, I have had a really good first trimester!
I never threw up, and only had a couple days that I felt nauseous.
I have had many days of complete exhaustion,
or "bone tired" as I call it.
But honestly, I would take that over nausea any day :)
5.
Ultrasounds- I have had a miscarriage scare
and an eptopic pregnancy scare,
but both times I was able to go to my midwives or the ER
and get an ultrasound to confirm that my baby was alright :)
Such a blessing to live in a time
where we can have access to such amazing technology!
6.
Friends- I have some of the most amazing people around me.
My friends have been so supportive and loving,
and continually check up to see if I need anything :)
7.
Essential Oils- I have grown to LOVE these oils
and they have helped with so many things in the first trimester.
Headaches are the worst,
and I still use the oils to get rid of them instead of resorting
to medication.
8.
Food- I have had some pretty intense cravings!
Not the traditional pickles or anything like that.
My intense cravings have been for fruit!
I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
No hesitations :)
9.
Water- My body has been craving water more than ever!
Usually I hate water, but it is really hard to hate something
that your body craves :)
So needless to say I'm grateful for it
since it keeps mom and baby nice and hydrated!
10.
Hair ties- My jeans are finally to the point where they don't fit!
It has been so weird for me, fun, but also frustrating.
I have nothing to wear that is comfortable!
Not just cute things, I mean nothing!
So one of my midwives and friends suggested I use a hair tie.
All I do it loop it through the button hole of my jeans
and then wrap around the button to hold my pants up!
It works great :)
11.
Bed-Our bed has seriously been the BEST purchase
we have ever made!
A nice king size pillow top
means I never want to get out of bed :)
I'm sleeping great
and for this mom who is growing a baby,
it's such a blessing.
12.
Shower- There are few things that feel great in pregnancy,
and a shower is one of them!
If I had a bathtub I trusted in our apartment,
you would find me there everyday after work/school :)
13.
Apartment- Naturally there are things I don't like about our place
but with everything it does have, it's perfect for us :)
There is room for when baby comes
and it's comfortable for this pregnant mommy.
14.
Car- Our car has been perfect for us :)
It has held up through all our road trips to visit family,
and it allows us to get to work and school everyday.
I don't know how we would function without it!
15.
Movies- Or Netflix :)
We are such big movie people
and watch one about every night.
It is so nice to relax and watch movies!
I'm just not quite sure how I feel about
my new heightened emotions mixed with
already emotional movies ;)
So here is my first baby bump picture this pregnancy!
It's weird for me to take pictures of myself and post them,
but I have to keep telling myself that this beginning pregnancy stage
is a beautiful stage.
I just have to make sure people know that it's baby ;)
Baby is the size of an apple this week :)
Just let that sink in for a moment....
I HAVE AN APPLE GROWING INSIDE ME!!
Hehehe, it's quite amazing :)
